Audemars Piguet is really three collections

Almost every AP people search for belongs to one of three families, and they are judged on different things. The Royal Oak is about the machined Tapisserie dial grid and eight aligned hexagonal bezel screws. The Royal Oak Offshore takes the same bezel and rebuilds everything around it — bigger case, protected pushers, a Méga Tapisserie grid roughly twice the scale. The Code 11.59 is a different architecture altogether: a round bezel and caseback sandwiching an octagonal middle case, with a double-curved sapphire crystal.

A clone that gets the dial grid scale wrong will look correct in a listing photo and wrong in the hand — the grid is the single most reliable AP tell across all three families.
