Vacheron Constantin super clones: finishing over flash

Vacheron is a quieter brand than Rolex or Hublot, and its clones are judged on different things. There is no ceramic bezel or chronograph to check — instead the whole watch rests on case finishing and dial texture. The Overseas has an integrated bracelet with a Maltese cross link profile that has to taper smoothly, and a dial with a fine sunburst or guilloché pattern that cheap copies flatten into plain paint.

What to check before you buy

Hold the bracelet up and look along its length — the taper should be continuous with no step at the end links. Tilt the dial under light and confirm the sunburst actually moves. Then check the six notches of the Maltese cross bezel are evenly spaced.
