The Rolex Cookie Monster is the Submariner Date reference 126619LB: a 41mm Submariner in 18ct white gold with a blue Cerachrom bezel over a gloss black dial, introduced in September 2020 and discontinued at Watches & Wonders 2026. It succeeded the all-blue Smurf (116619LB) as the white-gold Submariner and runs the calibre 3235 with a 70-hour power reserve.
Why is it called the Cookie Monster?
When the 126619LB launched, collectors expected the Smurf name to carry over to the new white-gold model — but the dial had changed from blue to black, and the old nickname no longer fitted. The combination of a bright blue bezel and a black dial instead recalled Cookie Monster, the blue-furred, black-mouthed puppet from Sesame Street, and that name won out within weeks of the 2020 launch. It is a strictly unofficial title: Rolex catalogues the watch simply as the Submariner Date 126619LB, with no reference to biscuits of any kind.
