Ordering a watch from abroad raises a fair question: what happens if customs stops my parcel? Most sellers in this market avoid answering it. We would rather tell you exactly where you stand before you buy.

Our guarantee

If your parcel is seized by customs, you choose what happens next: a full refund, or a free replacement shipped to you. Your choice, not ours.

You do not have to argue the case, provide legal documents, or accept a store credit. Tell us which you would prefer and we act on it.

How often does this actually happen?

It is uncommon, but it is not impossible, and any seller who tells you the risk is zero is not being straight with you. Customs authorities inspect a small proportion of inbound parcels, and the likelihood varies by destination country and by carrier.

What we can tell you is that a seizure has never left one of our customers out of pocket, because of the guarantee above.

What we do to reduce the risk

  • Plain, unmarked packaging. No branding, no product description on the exterior. The sender appears as a generic business name.
  • Established carriers. DHL Express, FedEx and UPS rather than untracked postal services.
  • Full tracking, end to end. You can see where your parcel is at every stage, so if something stalls we both know early.
  • Dispatch within 1–2 business days of payment being confirmed, after your watch passes QC and you have approved it.

What to do if your parcel is held

  1. Do not ignore a letter or email from the carrier or customs. A parcel held for a routine query is very different from a parcel seized, and the difference is usually resolved in days.
  2. Send us the reference. Forward whatever you received — the tracking status, the notice, the case number — to our support team.
  3. We take it from there. If the parcel is released, it continues to you as normal. If it is seized, you choose: refund or replacement.

Import duties and taxes: we cover them

The price you see is the price you pay. Shipping is free worldwide, and we handle import duties, taxes and all customs paperwork ourselves.

You will not be asked for an additional payment before your parcel is released, and no courier will arrive at your door with a bill. If anyone ever contacts you demanding a fee to release a Grand Watch Club parcel, do not pay it — contact us first.

Still have a question?

Ask before you buy, not after. If you want to know how deliveries to your specific country tend to go, message us and we will answer honestly — including if the answer is that a particular destination is difficult.
