In the world of fine horology, a luxury watch is more than an accessory β€” it is a reflection of taste, precision, and timeless craftsmanship.

Super Clone Watch Lume: BGW9 vs C3 SuperLuminova

Luminous material (“lume”) on your super clone watch is a key quality indicator. Here’s what you need to know about the two main types.

BGW9 (Blue Glow)

Glow colour: Blue-white
Used by: Rolex (called “Chromalight”), newer Omega models
Duration: Up to 8 hours of visible glow
Appearance: Appears white in daylight with a slight blue tint

BGW9 is the premium choice. Rolex switched all models to blue-emitting Chromalight (based on BGW9 chemistry) around 2008. Our Rolex and Omega super clones feature BGW9-grade lume for authentic blue glow.

C3 (Green Glow)

Glow colour: Green
Used by: Older Rolex, Panerai, Tudor, most Breitling
Duration: Up to 6 hours of visible glow
Appearance: Appears cream/pale green in daylight

C3 is the traditional luminous material. Panerai’s legendary readability in dark conditions uses C3 variants in their sandwich dials.

How to Charge Your Lume

Simply expose your watch to any light source for 10-15 minutes. Sunlight charges fastest, but artificial light works too. The stronger the light source, the brighter and longer the glow.

Quality Indicators

  • Even application: No gaps, bubbles, or overflow
  • Consistent colour: All markers and hands should match
  • Bright initial charge: Should be clearly visible for 2+ hours
