In the world of fine horology, a luxury watch is more than an accessory β it is a reflection of taste, precision, and timeless craftsmanship.
How to Clean Your Super Clone Watch at Home
A clean watch looks better and lasts longer. Here’s our professional-grade cleaning guide that works for all super clone watches β from Rolex to Patek Philippe.
What You’ll Need
- Soft microfibre cloths (2-3)
- Soft-bristle toothbrush (baby toothbrush works great)
- Bowl of lukewarm water
- Mild dish soap (1-2 drops)
- Optional: watch-specific cleaning solution
Step 1: Pre-Clean Wipe
Use a dry microfibre cloth to remove surface dust and fingerprints from the case, crystal, and bracelet.
Step 2: Check the Crown
Ensure the crown is fully screwed down (for screw-down crowns) or pushed in (push-pull crowns). This prevents water from entering the case.
Step 3: Soak the Bracelet
For steel or rubber straps only (NOT leather), hold the watch with the case above the water and dip the bracelet into lukewarm soapy water. Let it soak for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4: Gentle Scrubbing
Use the soft toothbrush to gently scrub between bracelet links, around the clasp, and along the case sides. Use circular motions on the polished surfaces.
Step 5: Rinse & Dry
Rinse under a gentle stream of lukewarm water (not hot). Immediately dry with a clean microfibre cloth. Use a hair dryer on cool setting to remove water from between bracelet links.
Crystal Cleaning
Sapphire crystals can be cleaned with a drop of isopropyl alcohol on a microfibre cloth. This removes oils and restores clarity instantly.
Leather Strap Care
For leather straps, use a barely damp cloth β never soak leather. Apply leather conditioner every few months to prevent cracking.
